The Women’s Resource Medical Centers of Southern Nevada has provided pregnancy services to women for more than 30 years. The faith-based organization is committed to reducing the demand for abortion. WRMCSN does this by supporting pregnant women and their families when they need it most.
Statistics from the Center for Disease Control and the Alan Guttmacher Institute indicate that 93% of all abortions occur because of social and economic reasons. In addition, 50% of women who have had an abortion in the past are more likely to have another.
WRMCSN advocates and champions have personally met with some of these women since 1985. Through these interactions, the Center found that the majority of them would not choose abortion. If they knew that had someone to assist them they may have chosen differntly.
These one-on-one discussions resulted in the intercession in the lives of over 40,000 babies. These babies now have the opportunity to make their own life choices. They can grow older and choose whether or not to grow their own families thru adoption or birthing children of their own.
