Another volunteer activity in the books for our Indiana team! Last week, our staff spent time making over 100 goodie bags for Haven House and Housing Opportunities.
These two wonderful organizations provide resources and support to those in the community facing homelessness and crisis situations.
Thanks to our staff for all their hard work in helping us help the community!

Our Las Vegas gives back team donated face masks, hand sanitizer, and time to help the Clark County School District Police and the Injured Police Officer Fund hand out over 600 backpacks loaded with school supplies on Saturday, March 27, at Mojave High School. The Las Vegas City Marshals and Nellis AFB Security Forces were also present to get Las Vegas students ready to return to school.
On top of getting a backpack filled with essential school items, students received clothing to build the excitement of going back to school.
“With the reopening of Las Vegas, we are grateful for these priceless partnership opportunities that have such a positive impact within communities. We truly love working with law enforcement agencies who engage in community area policing that directly benefits parents and ensures that students have the needed school supplies and other necessities to succeed in school,” shared Glen Lerner, Esq.

We are proud to once again partner with the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). This organization supports our schools and students by creating an ethical culture through activities that encourage maximum student participation.
And even though social distancing protocols are still in place, we hope that you join us in cheering on the local high school athletes from a distance.

How United Food Bank Changes Lives
United Food Bank helps lead the fight against hunger in the East Valley and eastern Arizona by providing food and more to over 165 nonprofit hunger relief partner agencies and programs, as well as child nutrition and senior meal programs.
After the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, the need for food rose exponentially across the state. In 2020 alone, the food bank distributed more than 27 million pounds of food, providing 22.5 million meals. This total was a 20 percent increase over 2019.
Join us in giving back to help provide nutritious food and hope to those who currently don’t know where their next meal is coming from. And remember, any dollar amount donated will be appreciated and counts double as our team will match every dollar up to $15,000!

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is excited to once again be a $10,000 level partner of Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Annual ABC15 Telethon. Since 2010, we have donated nearly $80,000 to help the hospital make a difference in the lives of over 135,000 young patients and their families that seek treatment each year.
Make sure that you tune in and watch the 9th annual ABC15 Telethon benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital on Wednesday, April 14 from 6:00 a.m. – 10:35 p.m. Channel ABC15 on-air anchors and personalities will serve as hosts.
The Phoenix Children’s Hospital is the sixth-largest children’s hospital in the country and the largest source of pediatric care to low-income families in Arizona. The hospital’s Hope Fund finances innovative research, cutting-edge technology, and physician recruitment. Furthermore, it helps fund child-friendly programs and services that make the hospital environment more comfortable for young patients.
As we all learn to navigate the COVID-19 crisis, the needs at Phoenix Children’s are greater than ever as their emergency department continues to see record numbers of visits and the increasing numbers of families that now face financial hardship.
Our team hopes that you will open your hearts and agree to pledge your support of the many programs offered to children seeking care at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, their family members, and the medical staff that care for them.

With schools reopening, our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team was back at Valley High School supporting the Injured Police Officer’s Fund and Clark County School District Police Department in a contactless drive-through Backpack Giveaway. The Nellis Air Force Police Department also volunteered to assist in the distribution of 1,000 backpacksstuffed with school supplies and other goodies, including reflective wrist slap-bands, provided by Lerner and Rowe.
“It is always our pleasure to support members living and working in our Las Vegas area communities. A great way to accomplish this is by supporting our community partners with their outreach projects, especially projects that benefit our youth. This is exactly what Lerner and Rowe Gives Back was established,” shared Glen Lerner, Esq.

Our wonderful Indiana and Illinois teams spent last week making over 60 “no-sew” blankets for two great organizations.
With the donation of these handmade blankets, Campagna Academy and The Primo Center will be able to keep their residents and clients warm during these final winter months.
A huge thank you to our staff for putting in the volunteer hours to get these blankets made. Also, thank you to Secret Place Ministries who helped make blankets as well!

COVID-19 has brought many challenges to how we go about our daily lives. One group that we don’t want to slip through the cracks and get lost in the shuffle are disadvantaged youth. That is why we are pleased to have the opportunity to directly help Phoenix kids by sponsoring the Phoenix Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P) – Lodge #2’s 2021 Cops and Kids Back to School event.
This charitable event will make it possible for kids struggling with educational disparities to get essential tools to help reduce distractions, thus have a more productive school day in whatever learning environment they find themselves—whether it be a hybrid in-person or virtual distance learning experience.
How Are Children Selected to Participate?
A committee of local law enforcement officers will carefully select and screen children and families that they believe are among the most in need.
Then, during the Cops and Kids Back to School event, students will be paired with a Phoenix law enforcement officer or public safety employee to enjoy a special shopping day to purchase essential school items. Our $1,000 donation will be split between approximately five students.
For more specific information about the 2021 Cops and Kids Back to School event, please contact the Phoenix F.O.P – Lodge #2 by phone at (602) 491-9195, or online at phxfop2.com.
How Joining Resources Can Make a Difference
The Phoenix F.O.P. – Lodge #2 believes that through positive outreach and community relationships, we can all make a difference in the lives of children and families in need within our city and surrounding area neighborhoods.
Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back foundation shares this belief and knows that we can do more and reach further by joining our resources. That is why we invite you to join us in giving back by supporting the Cops and Kids program today.
