On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Children’s Cancer Network (CCN) truly outdid themselves with its winter wonderland themed holiday party. Our team was beyond thrilled to be part of the magic as a presenting sponsor! 

From 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., CCN’s Chandler location transformed into a winter wonderland filled with love, laughter, and a touch of holiday magic. Here’s a look at some of the highlights:

• Music by JUST Energy Entertainment had us dancing, singing, and smiling ear to ear! The perfect soundtrack to a day of family joy.
• Games in the Let’s Move Center kept the energy high and the spirits even higher! Nothing beats a little friendly competition and loads of giggles.
• Photos with Santa? Yes, please! Families lined up for that classic holiday moment, with Santa looking jollier than ever.
• Crafts and activities let kids and parents alike unleash their creative sides while bonding over glitter and glue (and plenty of smiles).
• Hot chocolate bar and snacks were a crowd favorite—because let’s face it, is it even a holiday party without marshmallow-filled cocoa in hand?

As sponsors, it was heartwarming to witness families come together to share holiday cheer and fun moments.

Helping to Celebrate Another Birthday

The Copper Rain Foundation recently hosted an unforgettable birthday celebration for a young cancer patient named Lilly. 

The party took place at Fat Cats, a fun party venue that offers an arcade, bowling alley, and indoor neon mini golf course. It was the perfect spot for Lilly to celebrate another birthday with her family and friends.

Copper Rain Foundation used its 2024 grant award from Lerner & Rowe Gives Back to cover both Lily’s medical expenses and to throw her a fabulous birthday celebration.

Bringing Pups & People Together

The #LovePup Foundation is on a heartfelt mission to help homeless dogs and create a future where every pup has a loving home with no shelters needed. To help make this vision a reality, the foundation hosts annual Family Fests, inviting families for a day of fun and the chance to find a furry new family member.

For 2024, Lerner & Rowe Gives Back is thrilled to be a presenting sponsor of the Tucson #LovePup Family Fest and a stage sponsor for the Phoenix event.

This marks our seventh year proudly supporting these wonderful events, and we couldn’t be happier to help make a difference for dogs in need.

Both fests offered live entertainment, kids’ activities, food trucks, local pet adoptions, and other fun activities.

For many dialysis patients, holidays can be a challenging time due to health concerns or limited mobility.

To help bring joy and comfort to those undergoing treatments at Fresenius Kidney Care South Mountain, our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team in Phoenix has donated 242 Thanksgiving meal packages to the center’s dialysis patients for the past two years.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Fiesta Bowl Charities, we had the pleasure of taking part in a $2,500 check presentation to Hollie Bush, a sixth-grade math and science teacher at Eduprize Schools in San Tan Valley during the Palo Verde Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers Draft Day presented by Salt River Project.

Hollie stated that she will use the funds to purchase math manipulatives for their classroom. 

Hollie’s school is one of 380 different schools across Arizona to be chosen for a wish to be granted out of a total $1.25 million in donations.

Our 2024 Thanksgiving Meals Giveaway tour ended on a high note in Tucson, Arizona! The event was a festive celebration packed with fun—popcorn, face painting, balloon art, music, free swag, and bouncy house adventures, all paired with a Thanksgiving meal bag to take home. 

We were thrilled to share the spirit of gratitude by handing out 1,000 free dinner meal packages, spreading warmth and cheer this holiday.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us and made the Tucson Thanksgiving meals giveaway such a heartwarming success. Your presence and smiles truly embodied the essence of Thanksgiving: togetherness, gratitude, and community.

Our Phoenix Thanksgiving Meals Giveaway was an absolute hit! A huge shoutout to our amazing team for putting together and distributing 750 meal packages with heart and hustle. This year, we were thrilled to host it for the first time at Dream City Church, and what a beautiful day it was! 

The event had something for everyone: bouncy houses, face painting, balloon art, great music, and, of course, free Lerner and Rowe swag alongside the Thanksgiving meal packages. Plus, a big thanks to Taco Spot for serving up free, delicious eats for all who attended! 

We love being part of the communities we serve and were so happy to connect with everyone who came out to our 2024 Thanksgiving Meals Giveaway in Phoenix.

Our 2024 Thanksgiving Meals Giveaway tour made its second-to-last stop in the Windy City, where we handed out 750 FREE Thanksgiving meal packages, complete with side fixings and a Kroger gift card to purchase their protein of choice.

Attendees also enjoyed tasty snacks, music, and Lerner and Rowe swag, all while connecting with other local community members. 

A big THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers from our team, the Chicago Police Department’s 9th District, the Chicago Park District, and everyone who contributed their time and energy to make this event possible.
