Our 2024 Lerner and Rowe Backpack Tour Across America kicked off with a lightning strike at Sunrise Acres Elementary in Las Vegas.
Thanks to amazing staff members, school educators, and Clark County School District officers, 750 backpacks were given away in a record-breaking 22 minutes! All the teamwork helped make our Las Vegas backpack giveaway a huge success.

Bullhead City 2024 Backpack Giveaway
The Bullhead City back-to-school season got a fantastic boost on July 12th thanks to our 2024 free backpack giveaway event held at Rotary Park.
The event kicked off at 10:00 a.m. and quickly saw a steady stream of families eager to prepare their children for the upcoming school year. Our team of staff volunteers helped ensure a smooth process, with students receiving their backpacks directly in their vehicles.
In a display of community spirit, the giveaway provided 750 students with essential school supplies, easing the financial burden for many families. This giveaway will undoubtedly make a positive impact on countless Bullhead City students as they embark on a new academic year.

Yuma 2024 Backpack Giveaway
Lerner and Rowe’s FREE Yuma Backpack Giveaway, held on July 13th, 2024, at the Yuma County Fairgrounds, was a resounding success! The event aimed to support students in Yuma, Arizona, as they prepare for the upcoming school year by providing them with essential school supplies.
750 Backpacks Distributed!
Our team was thrilled to distribute 750 backpacks to students in Yuma. Each backpack was filled with school supplies, giving students a head start on the new year. The backpacks were distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring as many students as possible benefited from the event.

Albuquerque 2024 Backpack Giveaway
Lerner and Rowe’s free backpack giveaway on July 17th, 2024, proved to be a huge hit in Albuquerque! Held at Expo New Mexico, the event kicked off at 10:00 a.m. and quickly drew a large crowd of families eager to gear up for the upcoming school year.
With 1,000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies up for grabs, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. Students of all ages couldn’t wait to get their hands on a brand new backpack, essential for carrying the tools they need to succeed academically.

Tucson Backpack Giveaway 2024
On July 19th, 2024, our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team rolled into Tucson, Arizona, marking our fifth stop on our annual backpack giveaway tour. The excitement kicked off at 10:00 a.m. sharp at the Pima County Fairgrounds. 750 backpacks, each brimming with essential school supplies, were up for grabs. The shaded venue also provided a comfortable space for families while they waited.
More than just backpacks, this giveaway was about empowering Tucson students. By providing backpacks filled with essential supplies, Lerner and Rowe Gives Back aimed to help ensure local children arrive at school ready to learn and thrive.
Furthermore, this annual back-to-school initiative recognizes the financial strain back-to-school shopping can place on families, offering a helping hand and fostering a spirit of community in Tucson.

2024 Phoenix Backpack Giveaway
Our Lerner & Rowe Gives Back team continued our mission to empower students on July 22nd with the sixth stop on our 2024 backpack giveaway tour. This event, held indoors at the North Phoenix Baptist Church’s Fellowship Center, offered a comfortable haven for families seeking to equip their children for the upcoming school year.
The highlight of the day was the free distribution of 750 backpacks, each filled to the brim with essential school supplies. This effort wasn’t just about handing out backpacks; it was about helping ensure every student had the tools they needed to succeed academically.

Merrillville Backpack Giveaway 2024
This past Saturday, August 10th, the Dean & Barbara White Center in Merrillville buzzed with excitement as the community came together for Lerner and Rowe’s FREE back-to-school backpack giveaway. The event, which ran from 9:00 a.m. until supplies lasted, saw 1,000 backpacks stuffed with school supplies disappear into eager students’ hands.
The giveaway didn’t stop there! Attendees enjoyed refreshing Day Dreams and Ice Cream treats, making the event a sweet start to the school year. Additionally, various guest vendors were present, offering resources and information relevant to families.
This generous annual initiative highlights our commitment to the Merrillville community and its students as families prepare for a successful academic year.
