Taking Time to Recognize our Veterans’ Legacy of Service

Our team was honored to show our support for local military service members and their families as a sponsor of Veterans Heritage Project’s 4th Annual Saluting Stories of Service Gala on March 11th at Chateau Luxe. 

Funds raised through donations and sponsorships, such as our $2,000 table sponsorship, will be used to support the continuation and growth of its after-school program. The program focuses on character education, civic responsibility, and 21st century skills for next generation students.

2023 The Heart of Rock & Roll Gala

This past Saturday, our team attended Humane Indiana’s The Heart of Rock & Roll Gala where Lerner and Rowe was a presenting sponsor.

With 600 people in attendance, this event celebrated the work that Humane Indiana does for wild and domestic animals across Northwest Indiana.

During the program, our Lerner and Rowe IL/IN Outreach Director, Arianna Baiz, received the 2023 Humane Hero Award for her continuous support of and contribution to the organization.

From March 13th – 19th,  top ranking tennis players and up-and-coming young talent face off during the 2023 Arizona Tennis Classic at the historic Phoenix Country Club.

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is pleased to be a sixth-year sponsor of the Tucson Heart & Stroke Ball that directly supports the American Heart Association’s fight against heart disease and stroke. 

Critically needed funds raised by this Southern Arizona Heart Ball campaign will be put towards educational initiatives to improve cardiovascular health behaviors, quality of care, and scientific research.   

2023 Tucson Heart Ball Highlights

For 2023, the Tucson Heart Ball features a Great Gatsby theme and will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. MST at The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa (3800 E Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718). Sponsors the 5th Annual PRFC Soccer Ball benefitting Phoenix Rising Youth Soccer Players

At the heart of our foundation we seek to find ways to uplift local youth. Inclusion in team sports is just one of many activities that many may not be able to join without financial assistance.

As such, we are thrilled to support the Soccer Ball that reinvests 100% of proceeds into a financial aid program that provides scholarship opportunities for hundreds of youth to play soccer and be part of a team.

Members of our own team that attended the event also enjoyed seeing some of the players and meeting the director of Phoenix Rising Youth Soccer, Chris Brown.

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team truly enjoys helping to fight hunger in Maricopa County. That is why we once again teamed up with ALT AZ 93.3 and the Valley of the Sun United Way to help end hunger in Maricopa County by donating $5,500 to help cover the costs for 625 pantry packs.

Each month one participating school with free and reduced lunch eligibility in South and Southwest Phoenix, Maryvale, or Guadalupe is chosen to receive 1,500 pantry packs.

Students at the Academia del Pueblo were the recipients of the pantry packs that our team helped assemble on February 28th. 

What’s Inside Each Pantry Pack?

Pantry Packs are filled with shelf-stable and nutritional pantry items to include: 

• Canned chicken
• Fruit cups 
• Granola bars
• Macaroni and cheese 
• Oatmeal 
• Peanut butter crackers 

Here are a few stats to help highlight the importance of these pantry packs: 82,000 families in Maricopa County face chronic food insecurities and 1 in 5 children live in food insecure homes. 

How to Join the Fight Against Hunger!

Every month during the school year Valley of the Sun United Way provides Pantry Packs to 1,500 Maricopa County students to ensure they and their families have enough food staples to help supplement their food pantries through the end of the month. 

Join us, ALT AZ 93.3, and United Way fight hunger in Maricopa County by making an online donation now. 

Our Las Vegas outreach team was pleased to once again join F.R.E.E. International, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Clark County School District Police Department, and other organizations and volunteers for Nevada Child Seekers’ annual The BIG Search in Las Vegas for 2023.  We were even more thrilled to learn that 14 missing children were located and returned home!

What You Can Do to Help 

Aside from volunteering during the annual Big Search in Las Vegas, you can help by learning more about Nevada Child Seekers and how the agency assists families and law enforcement agencies to locate missing children in Las Vegas and across the country. Visit NevadaChildSeekers.org to make a donation to support its efforts, find educational resources, to print and share missing children flyers, report a missing child, and more. 

Our team had a blast on Friday helping pamper those attending Tim Tebow Foundation’s “A Night to Shine” with Opportunity Enterprises (OE).

OE is a wonderful community organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities.

Clients and community members came to OE’s campus to get their hair, makeup, and nails done before their prom-like event that evening.

Everyone looked beautiful, and we hope they enjoyed their night!

Even though tickets are sold out for this year’s youth gala in March 2023, you can still show your support by gifting a donation and emailing [email protected] to be notified when the silent auction will be open. 

Funds raised through ticket sales, silent auction items, and sponsorships, such as our $10,000 Youth of the Year sponsorship, will be used by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale to support programs focused on academics, advocacy and leadership, imagination and creativity, and healthy-habits.
