Last year our inaugural Las Vegas Charity Golf Classic raised over $143,500! This accomplishment was made possible in part to the generosity of our sponsors, community partners, and individuals. 100% of proceeds raised were then directly given back to local Las Vegas charitable organizations and groups.

Heroic actions lend themselves to extraordinary results. Put on the Cape (POTC) — a Foundation for Hope goes above and beyond to do just that through its outreach efforts that support physically and sexually abused children through Superhero Mythology. As such, our team was elated to join forces for the common good and gifted the foundation with a $10,000 donation.

Put on the Cape will use part of our donation to bring light and love to kids who had their childhood taken from them. The foundation does by paying forward cash and gifts-in-kind to Arizona child crisis centers and 10 police police department special victim units in:

Another portion of our donation will be used towards covering operating costs of this grassroots charity so that it can continue to give back, grow to help more kids in need, and expand into other states.   

Put On the Cape Valleywide Events 

In addition to its signature Superhero Shopping Spree, Put on the Cape holds a variety of other fun events Valleywide to include:

• Charity golf tournaments

During these events, professional actors and actresses portraying Superheroes help provide a safe and fun experience for attendees.

Saturday morning (September 24, 2022) our team enjoyed the Fall weather by cleaning the beach at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. 

This is our 3rd year participating in one of Mermaid Straws’ beach cleanups and our team has a blast each time!

Plus, our team is excited to have collected a total of over 150lbs of trash over the past three years.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson’s Associate Board hosted its 5th Annual Swing for the Kids Charity event on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Topgolf Tucson. Our team was once again a proud supporter of this annual charitable event that supports Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson efforts to ensure the Clubs can make a difference in the lives of thousands of youth by:

• Providing high-quality after-school care 
• Receiving homework help for academic success
• Building key social relationships and bonds with caring staff and peers
• Receiving nutritional hot dinners nightly during the school year

For our 3rd year in a row, Lerner & Rowe gives back by happily sponsored the Laugh Your Face Off comedy show fundraiser! 

Proceeds from this event help fund research to find treatment and a cure for patients battling Trigeminal Neuralgia, also known as “the suicide disease”.

For the third year in a row, Lerner and Rowe Gives Back donated $3,000 towards the Night of Hope Gala in support of Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels (AHRA). The organization greatly benefits from all supporters of this annual fundraiser as funds given help underwrite the evening’s expenses. 

Donations also make it possible for AHRA to provide free supportive services to families impacted by childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.     

Supportive Services Provided by Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels 

AHRA offers a variety of supportive programs to include: 

• Comfort and Care counseling
• Comfycozy’s Care Pack for Chemo apparel 
• Financial assistance
• Family Life peer-to-peer support program
• Major Distraction events for childhood cancer warriors and their families

Peer-to-peer support for the whole family is provided by the Family Life program. And, lastly, Financial Assistance is given to help offset medical costs by providing families with little warriors groceries, meals, and assistance with paying utilities.

On Saturday, September 17 our Las Vegas outreach team enjoyed spending the morning with nearly a thousand superheroes at the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada’s annual Superhero 5K run and 1-mile walk. We were delighted to spend the morning meeting so many runners, walkers, and support members who came out dressed in creative and colorful superhero outfits.

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back has donated $3,500 as a sponsor of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s (NFFF) 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Talking Stick Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona. This annual event is a repeated favorite of our teams as it honors the memory of the heroic men and women who selflessly gave their lives during the tragic aftermath of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. 

Additionally, the Salt Water 9/11 Stair Climb specifically raises funds to support programs provided by the NFFF to assist families of local fallen firefighters and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit. 

2022 9/11 Commemorative Stair Climb in Scottsdale 

For the sixth year, participants will gather to climb the equivalent of 110 stories in representation of the 110 stories inside the World Trade Center. Each climber will have the honor of carrying a photo of one of our fallen heroes. 

For 2022, we’ll have a booth set up at the event and two team members will join others in carrying a photo in remembrance of a fallen hero.
