Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team sponsored the Family Empowerment Summit in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The event was designed to empower parents to further protect their children from human trafficking and exploitation.
The Summit began outside where several dozen vendors who combat human trafficking passed out collateral material on their organizations efforts, and then we moved inside where local and national experts in the field of human trafficking provided the attendees with real tools and opportunities to empower families, guardians, and kids in this vulnerable environment.

Our Lerner and Rowe team was back in Las Vegas to support the 2022 Special Olympics Nevada Torch Run.
Nearly two hundred police officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Clark County School Police, Nevada Corrections, and North Las Vegas Police Department participated in the Run to raise funds for the Special Olympics Nevada.
Runners carried the “Flame of Hope” along the approximate 2.5 miles loop on the Las Vegas Strip.
“Special Olympics is an incredible organization, which we have supported for years. The Special Olympics athletes are such an inspiration to us all,” Glen Lerner.

We couldn’t agree more with The C.A.R.E. (Children’s Aid and Relief Efforts) Organization’s philosophy that “One person can’t help everyone, but everyone could help someone.” That’s why our team was thrilled to join others in supporting the organization’s mission with a $2,000 donation for its inaugural Red Carpet Gala on September 24th at the Gila River Resorts & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass.
We were also delighted to learn that over $160,000 was raised at this first-time charitable event. We were also pleased that all proceeds will go directly towards immediate group home renovations and other long-term projects that provide shelter and support to victims of child sex trafficking, abuse, and poverty.
If you are sorry to have missed out on an amazing evening of giving back, you can learn how to get involved with The CARE Organization’s 2023 Red Carpet Gala at CareOrg.com.

Specialized meals delivered daily, with love.
Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is pleased to support and spread awareness about a special program that offers reduced-cost meal options to older persons, people living with disabilities, people facing tough medical conditions, and people facing end of life issues per established eligibility guidelines.
When you think about how our $2,000 donation will provide almost 1,000 meals to people in need, imagine how many more people could benefit from a serving of love and nourishment if we joined resources and/or volunteered our time to help those who are unable to drive, shop, or cook their own meals.
Meal Types offered by Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona
The three different meal types offered are:
Medically tailored meals
Special diet meals
Nutritionally tailored regular diet meals
Additionally, these meal types can be further specialized to meet special dietary needs.
Join us in supporting Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona’s mission with a financial donation now, or by volunteering your time later. Learn how by visiting mobilemealssoaz.org.

Lerner & Rowe is proud to give back as an annual sponsor with Mental Health America of Northwest Indiana. Our team enjoyed last night’s Wing & Roll event where chefs from around NWI created their best chicken wing to compete for the chicken trophy!
This event supports the work Mental Health America does to help close to 5,000 individuals and families in some of our most vulnerable Northwest Indiana communities with mental illness and promote mental health altogether.

Heroic actions lend themselves to extraordinary results. Put on the Cape (POTC) — a Foundation for Hope goes above and beyond to do just that through its outreach efforts that support physically and sexually abused children through Superhero Mythology. As such, our team was elated to join forces for the common good and gifted the foundation with a $10,000 donation.
Put on the Cape will use part of our donation to bring light and love to kids who had their childhood taken from them. The foundation does by paying forward cash and gifts-in-kind to Arizona child crisis centers and 10 police police department special victim units in:
Chandler
Gilbert
Salt River Tribal
Scottsdale
Glendale
Surprise
Avondale
Buckeye
Goodyear
Another portion of our donation will be used towards covering operating costs of this grassroots charity so that it can continue to give back, grow to help more kids in need, and expand into other states.
Put On the Cape Valleywide Events
In addition to its signature Superhero Shopping Spree, Put on the Cape holds a variety of other fun events Valleywide to include:
Car shows
Charity golf tournaments
5Ks
During these events, professional actors and actresses portraying Superheroes help provide a safe and fun experience for attendees.
How You Can Help POTC Make a Difference
We invite you to join us in supporting Put on the Cape and its efforts towards helping organizations that make it a priority to empower kids by fostering self-confidence and providing hope in a brighter future.
