16 Years Partnership
For 16 years now, our team has enjoyed assisting the McKenna Youth Foundation to assemble children’s bikes, as well as sort food and household items to be gifted to disadvantaged Phoenix youth and their families during its annual Holiday Party.
In fact, this charitable event has become a tradition that our team and family members look forward to taking part in every year.
Holiday Party and Bike Giveaway for Families in Need
The McKenna Youth Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and an Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization. Every year, it holds an annual holiday party and bike giveaway at Aunt Chilada’s Restaurant to provide food, clothing, books, toys, household items, and bicycles to qualifying low-income families. To date, the foundation has positively impacted more than 3,700 families and over 11,900 children.

Among this year’s Business Angels of the Year is Lerner & Rowe, recognized for going beyond the courtroom to support vulnerable families statewide.
Through Lerner & Rowe Gives Back, the firm contributed $150,000 to Valleywise Hospital’s Pediatric Burn Unit and helped provide respite care for a critically ill child through Ryan House — strengthening essential support systems for Arizonans facing life’s toughest challenges.

Lerner & Rowe Gives Back was proud to sponsor the Kassy’s Kause Gala for 2025, held on November 22 at the Isleta Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, NM. Themed “Get Jiggy with It,” the gala was a vibrant evening dedicated to raising awareness about maternal mental health disorders and supporting families affected by perinatal depression.
Guests enjoyed inspiring speakers, live performances, delicious food, and a lively silent auction, all while honoring Kassandra “Kassy” Aguayo’s legacy.
About Kassy’s Kause
Kassy tragically took her own life after delivering her baby due to unrecognized maternal mental health struggles. Her story underscores the critical need for awareness, education, and support for mothers, families, and even fathers experiencing perinatal depression.
Kassy’s Kause, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, continues to provide resources, host summits, facilitate support groups, and collaborate with organizations to break the stigma surrounding maternal mental health.

As part of our 2025 grant check presentation tour, Lerner & Rowe Gives Back proudly presented a $7,000 grant to Stardust Non-Profit Building Supplies in support of their annual Holiday Blitz. With our grant support, Stardust Non-Profit Building Supplies expanded its reach and provided even more families with the resources and gifts they need to celebrate the holidays.
The contribution not only helped fuel the event’s operations but also strengthened the impact of local partners working to support children and families across the region.

Yuma marked the grand finale of our 2025 Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway tour, bringing a heartwarming close to the season at the Yuma County Fairgrounds. Families and individuals from across the region gathered for an afternoon filled with gratitude, connection, and holiday cheer.
Our team members welcomed guests as they walked up to receive one of 1,000 Thanksgiving meal packages, each packed with the essentials needed to prepare a traditional holiday feast and paired with a $25 grocery gift card for added support. The event also featured free Lerner & Rowe swag items, which added an extra layer of fun and excitement for attendees of all ages.
The fairgrounds buzzed with friendly conversations, warm smiles, and heartfelt thanks, creating a memorable celebration of kindness and community. It was the perfect way to wrap up a season of giving—and a reminder of the joy that comes from supporting neighbors during the holidays.

Families also enjoyed a sweet snack and refreshments while connecting with local resource booths featuring organizations such as Meals on Wheels, St. Jude House, and NorthShore Health Center.
