2021 Night of Hope Gala Supporting Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels

Night of Hope Gala save the date card

For the second year in a row, Lerner and Rowe Gives Back has donated $3,000 towards the Night of Hope Gala, which directly supports Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels. Our team was not only spellbound by the glamorous Old Hollywood theme of the evening, but also amazed by the courageous stories they heard about the little warriors fighting childhood cancer and their families.

Funds raised through event sponsorships like ours, as well as individual contributions, make it possible for Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels to offer free supportive services that provide comfort and care to the many families impacted by childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

How Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels Makes a Difference

Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels offer a variety of supportive programs. Through Major Distractions, little warriors know that something fun is about to happen that will make their day a bit lighter and brighter.

Comfycozy’s Care Packs are the latest in adaptive apparel that make it possible for nurses to more discreetly access a young cancer patient’s port while also keeping a child comfortably covered.

Comfort and Care programs provide free counseling, play therapy, and supportive services to families who have a child battling cancer, a blood disorder, or any other life-threatening illness.

Peer-to-peer support for the whole family is provided by the Family Life program. And, lastly, Financial Assistance is given to help offset medical costs by providing families with little warriors groceries, meals, and assistance with paying utilities.

In addition to sponsoring the Women’s Resource Medical Center’s (WRMC) Shareholders in Life Fundraising Gala & Silent Auction on Saturday, September 18th, our Lerner and Rowe outreach team was among the 1,600 plus attendees that showed up to partake in this festive evening of charity and goodwill.

Actor Jim Caveizel – An Inspiring Keynote Speaker

The keynote speaker was Jim Caveizel from the film “The Passion of the Christ” and hit television series “Person of Interest.”

In some way, the night’s experience resembled a slice of Jim’s message.

Las Vegas Hockey Outreach Event

Las Vegas Hockey

In collaboration with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the Vegas Golden Knights (VGK), Free International, the Fatherhood Project, Siegel Cares, the Balm of Gilead, and LV Reach, our Las Vegas outreach team has had the pleasure of taking part in weekly sports-related mentoring, coaching, and role modeling experiences that positively impact kids living in zip code 89169.

These Tuesday afternoon activities have become a weekly staple for over 30 neighborhood children, and some parents.

Last Day on the Ice

On September 14th the kids were gifted with an extra special treat–the Vegas Golden Knights provided every child with an authentic VGK jersey, skates, pants, vests, and hockey stick. The kids were also given a sports bag to carry all of their new gear.

Lastly, they then had the opportunity to take to the ice for one last time where professional hockey players Harrison Luce and Derek Engelland taught them how to score goals.
