$10k Toy Drive Sponsorship

Family of God Ministry Christmas Toy Drive

We are filled to the brim with feelings of goodwill and joy after adopting a toy drive as part of Family of God Ministry’s annual holiday assistance efforts. Our $10K platinum sponsorship will be used to bring grins and giggles to tons of little ones as they unwrap a gift on Christmas morning.

Thanks in part to the help from donors, the Family of God Ministry has been able to present hundreds of children with gifts since 2014. For 2020, the ministry teamed up with Christian Family Care Agency (a foster and adoption agency) and members of the public, like Lerner and Rowe Gives Back, to provide over 1,000 children ages 0-18 years old with Christmas gifts.

How Do I Register a Child in Need?

The Family of God Ministry listed the following three qualifications a family must meet in order to register their child(ren) for the holiday gift assistance program:

  1. Families must be experiencing a crisis to qualify.
  2. If you have received assistance from us in the last two years, from any of our programs, you do not qualify to receive Christmas gifts.
  3. Approved families must pick up on the day they are scheduled for. No exceptions!

To register, visit familyofgodministry.org/application. Please note that applications and any required documents must be received by December 15, 2020.

Please contact [email protected] with any questions.

What Happens If My Family Is Approved?

If your family is approved, Family of God Ministry will reach out to your family to schedule a day and time for the gifts to be picked up.

At Lerner and Rowe Gives Back, we are thrilled to support such a wonderful cause that is dedicated to helping needy children and families.

Las Vegas Turkey Giveaway 2020

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back | Las Vegas Turkey Giveaway

Our Lerner and Rowe team enjoyed serving our neighbors living in East Las Vegas where we hosted a contactless drive-through Thanksgiving event.

We were joined by Clark County School District PD, Behind the Blue NV, Just One Project, and Ruby Thomas Elementary, where we handed out frozen turkeys, boxes of fixings, and other food items.

“It is a beautiful thing to give back to the community that has been such a blessing to me. I am thankful for our wonderful community partners who serve as force multipliers producing greater results than we could ever accomplish independently. I am also thankful for the many faithful community partners who serve along our side to improve the quality of life in Las Vegas.” –Glen Lerner, Esq.

Tucson Thanksgiving Food Distribution

It was a pleasure for our team to partner with the Education Enrichment Foundation & TUSD Family Resource Centers in Tucson for a Thanksgiving food distribution.

The two organizations helped coordinate the Thanksgiving food distribution of 250 sets of frozen hams with gift cards for side fixings to low-income families receiving assistance from the resource centers.

Bringing a smile to many families’ faces is what it’s all about!

Inspirational Notes of Gratitude

Our Chicago and Merrillville teams spent time last week making inspirational cards for students and thank you cards for our frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and deployed troops.

Cards will be distributed to local students through Back to School America and the others will be sent to Operation Gratitude to be included in their care packages.

A big thank you to our staff for their time, creativity, and kind words!

2nd Annual Dusk 2 Dawn Crosswalk Safety Program

Dusk 2 Dawn program

With Halloween just a day away, the Vulnerable Road Users Project UNLV, part of the Transportation Research Center at UNLV, kicked off their 2nd Annual Dusk to Dawn Crosswalk Safety Program in partnership with RTC of Southern Nevada, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Clark County School District Police Department, and Nevada Department of Public Safety.

The majority of Nevada’s pedestrian fatalities occur between dusk and dawn, which is why Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is sponsoring the crosswalk safety program by providing reflective wrist bands (slap bands), that will be distributed out of 70 local convenience stores, so that wearers will be more visible to motorists at night time.

Las Vegas Pedestrian Fatality Stats

On the night of October 28, our Las Vegas community experienced its 52nd pedestrian fatality of the year, which is one fatality over last year’s record high of 51.

“Our hearts go out to the family who lost their loved one on October 28, and to many others due to crosswalk accidents. We are hopeful that the awareness resulting from this campaign, will help to make our crosswalks safer, and save lives. We remain grateful for the hard work of many of our community partners who are committed to public safety, including UNLV, UMC, Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Clark County School District Police Department, Las Vegas Metro Police Department, the City of North Las Vegas, the RTS, and Community Ambulance.”
