Halloween Safe-Tacular in Las Vegas

Halloween Safe-Tacular

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team participated in UMC Children’s Hospital’s Halloween Safe-Tacular that was presented in partnership with Kohl’s Cares. The contactless drive-through event was staged in the Bronze Parking Lot at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Oct. 24 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

In addition to providing the community with a festive Halloween event, Safe-Tacular supports the hospital’s mission to reduce the number and severity of pedestrian injuries among children in Southern Nevada.

“It is always a privilege to support incredible community partners like UMC Children’s Hospital and Clark County School District Police, who hosted the event. Lerner and Rowe Gives Back was formed to give back in the neighborhood’s where our clients live. It is even more special to be able to bring smiles to over a thousand children’s faces.”

Cars Full of Costumed Kids

Over 400 cars filled with costumed children, parents, and some dogs, drove past tables and pop ups that were decorated and filled with costumed volunteers. There was a steady stream of cars for well over four hours.

During the event children received free goodie bags with treats, pedestrian safety gear, and valuable safety information.

For the sixth year in a row, our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team participated in Paul’s Car Wash to benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona (BBBSAZ).

And even though this year’s fundraiser is virtual, our team members still participated by washing our work vehicles at a Super Star Car Wash in Phoenix.

#LovePupDay Sponsors

LovePupDay Sponsors

#LovePupDay was a virtual adoption and animal appreciation event on Saturday, October 10 that was created to offset the cancellation of #LovePup Foundation’s annual Family Fests.

As our team is a strong supporter of the #LovePup Foundation, we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to once again show our support and sponsor the foundation’s activities as a $6,000 #LovePupDay Platinum Partnership sponsor in Phoenix and as a $3,000 #LovePup Day Title Partnership sponsor in Tucson.

Why #LovePupDay?

COVID-19 closures have had a monumental impact on in-person fundraising and adoption events. In previous years, #LovePup has hosted multiple events annually to help support homeless dog rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption efforts. That need did not end with the pandemic, and has in fact continued to grow.

In order to help deserving dogs find their forever home, #LovePup joined forces with iHeart Media, supported by community sponsors like Lerner and Rowe, to create a virtual Adoption Center.

The virtual Adoption Center launched on Monday, September 21 in Tucson, Phoenix, Colorado Springs, and Portland and linked back to multiple rescues and shelters showcasing adoptable dogs in each of these cities.

It is still not too late to join us in helping #LovePup and their efforts to help displaced and homeless dogs find shelter, rehabilitation, and love until they can be matched with a loving forever home. Donate today and help make a difference at beta.kindest.com/pg_Cil3SeCV7-love-pup-day

Night of Hope Gala Benefiting Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels

Night of Hope Gala benefiting Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back donated $3,000 towards the Night of Hope Gala benefiting Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels. Our team feels uplifted to know that our contribution will be used to provide Comfycozys for Chemo Care packs for 60 little warriors fighting childhood cancer.

Comfycozys are an adaptive apparel line featuring zippers, buttons, snaps, pockets, and openings for nurses to more discreetly access a young cancer patient’s port while allowing the child to remain comfortably covered.

Funds raised during their annual gala are the reason they are able to offer support and free services to the many families impacted by childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Please consider joining us at any level of support to help Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels continue providing comfort and dignity to young warriors and their families.

How You Can Bring Comfort to a Young Cancer Patient

Just like many other 2020 events, Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels’ annual gala has had to adapt to many challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, this year’s fundraising gala now provides a virtual component to help supporters remain socially distant, while still being involved.

The limited in-person viewing seats are sold out, however, there are still a variety of ways you can help increase the reach and impact of the Night of Hope Gala to include:

Recap of 2020 Special Olympic Torch Run

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team enjoyed the honor of sponsoring and participating in the Special Olympics Nevada Touch Run. Due to continued social gathering restrictions, the Special Olympics athletes could not join us, as in previous years. But that didn’t stop us from carrying the torch in a two-hour relay raising money for this vital charity.

Our team joined the law enforcement officers from Clark County School District Police Department, Clark County Detention, and North Las Vegas Police Department, to  walk and, or run carrying the Special Olympic Torch around the Clark High School track.

“Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys have been long-time fans and supporters of the athletes who participate in the Special Olympics. We thank Special Olympics Nevada and the Clark County School District Police Department for giving us the opportunity to participate with them in the Torch Run.” —Glen Lerner

Candlelighters Superhero 5K Virtual Run 2020

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team supported the Candlelighters Superhero 5K run, which was virtual due to social distancing requirements. To participate, entrants were encouraged to run or walk one of many routes that were set up to avoid large gatherings.

Virtual dates for the 2020 run were from Saturday, September 19 through Friday, September 25.

“Candlelighters is a wonderful charity that provides emotional support, quality of life programs, and financial assistance for children and their families affected by childhood cancer. We are grateful for the opportunity to support organizations like Candlelighters that faithfully serve children and families in need within our community.” –Glen Lerner
