This wonderful organization offers residential services for children in the foster system, those needing special attention, and they also provide services for substance abuse treatment. Hand-crafted birthday cards are given to the children on their birthdays to help bring that special celebration feeling to the facility.

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back – 2019 Gold Sponsor of Heart Screening and Sports Physical Event
We were proud to once again be giving back in support of Las Vegas Sportz Foundation’s (LVSF) Game Saver Program spring pre-participation physical evaluation and heart screening event for local student-athletes. The Saturday, February 15, 2020, event was the sports foundation’s first physical and heart screening event of the year for student-athletes ages 10 to 18.
Saving lives one screening at a time.
Since the program’s launch in 2013, over 450 local kids have been screened and over a dozen kids were found to have potential life-threatening heart abnormalities!
Physicians were able to detect these cardiac abnormalities in young athletes based on the combined use of an electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiogram (ECHO), and a qualitative exam and review of personal and family history.
For even more details about the FREE youth sports physical & heart screening, visit lvsportz.com.

Our Las Vegas Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team spent the past two days at the Sports Leadership and Management Academy of Nevada (SLAM Nevada), where high school seniors were given the opportunity to experience how quickly a disaster can happen if they drive distracted. It was an educational two days for the seniors to see just how the slightest distraction could end up in a disaster.
“Car accidents happen every day because another driver was too busy on their phone to pay attention to what was going on around them. That’s why our outreach team is putting on distracted driving seminars in Las Vegas high schools. We want to show young drivers how simple distractions can lead to serious consequences.” —Glen Lerner
To arrange for our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team to put on a Distracted Driving Simulator at your Las Vegas area school, please contact Guy Williams at (702) 525-2835 or via email at [email protected].

Chicago Educational Arts & Crafts Session at Casa Central
Our Chicagoland Outreach team is starting the new year strong! This week, several staff members participated in a Casa Central volunteer project.
Since 1954, Casa Central has delivered evidence-based, award-winning programming in response to the needs of the Hispanic community. Our volunteer staff worked on an educational craft with the center’s Early Learning Academy.
Each child had the opportunity to decorate a cardboard roll, color a letter of the alphabet, and a picture that corresponded. At the end of our Casa Central volunteer project, we lined up each letter in order and practiced our alphabet on some fun worksheets.
What a great group of bright and energetic children to work with! Thanks to Casa Central for all that you do to help inspire and develop the lives of these wonderful children!
