Las Vegas Homeless Outreach with LVMPD–EAC

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team helped feed a few hundred people at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department–Enterprise Area Command’s (EAC) homeless outreach event on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from noon to 3:00 p.m.

“Law enforcement officers live to serve and protect. This motto takes on a whole different meaning when it’s associated with the humanitarian efforts of local law enforcement officers preparing and serving food to some of the most poverty-stricken individuals and families living in the Las Vegas Valley. This act of support is what giving back is really about,” stated Glen Lerner.

4th Annual Salt River Firefighters 911 Stair Climb

On September 8, 2019 our Phoenix team members attended the United Salt River Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. The annual event is one way local businesses, community members, and organizations can come together to honor and remember the 343 Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) firefighters, 60 police, and 10 EMS personnel who sacrificed their lives so that others might live on 9-11-2001.

Each participant received a tag with the name and photo of a fallen hero prior to climbing the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Once a climber reached the top step, a bell rang to symbolize the completion of a fallen hero’s journey to save others.

Overall, our team was extremely moved and proud to take part in this commemorative event.

Cops and Burgers Las Vegas

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Team sponsored the Cops and Burgers Las Vegas fundraiser event for Special Olympics of Nevada on Sunday, September 8, 2019. They barbecued 400 hamburgers for the guests who came out to support the local Special Olympics.

Several first responder agencies put on demonstrations, including fire and emergency crews, the North Las Vegas PD, Clark County School District PD, Metro PD, and Police Wives of Southern Nevada, to name a few.

“It’s an incredible privilege to support the Special Olympics of Nevada. Athletics played such a critical role in my young life and I feel honored to pay it forward to teach our youth discipline, sportsmanship, and other skills that equip them to lead successful lives,” stated Glen Lerner.
