Catrike 700 Donation

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team visited Southwest Bikes yesterday, where we watched the master bike builders at Southwest Bikes assemble a Catrike 700 that will be awarded next Saturday, November 9th at the Las Vegas Project Hero’s Honor Ride.

The specialty recumbent bike will enable this former member of the Army and Air Force, (thus Air Force blue color) to cycle as an effective alternative therapy for PTSD and TBI treatment, as well as for physical therapy and injury rehabilitation.

It is a privilege to support the Project Hero Honor Ride, and many veterans whom they serve. It is humbling to ‘give back’ to a few of our veterans who have sacrificed so much for our nation. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in one of our veteran’s lives. -Glen Lerner

Our Chicagoland team members had the opportunity to volunteer on November 2,  2019 with Chicago Animal Care and Control’s Safe Humane program. This fun-filled day was spent learning about the various programs offered, helping with enrichment, and socializing with the dogs and cats.

Our staff’s hearts were full from all of the love and affection shown from these amazing animals. It was an honor to give back and be able to present a $500 check on behalf of Lerner and Rowe to help further the mission of Safe Humane Chicago!

Our team is thrilled to sponsor seven turkey giveaways—for a total of 9,000 frozen turkeys given away—being held in six states across the United States. Plus, each family that receives a turkey also gets a drawstring bag stuffed with traditional Thanksgiving side fixings.

$10,000 Check Presented at Annual Paul’s Pay it Forward Car Wash

For the fifth year in a row, our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team members scrubbed Phoenix vehicles to help raise funds during “Paul’s Pay it Forward Car Wash.” Also, our team was excited to present a $10,000 check to CBS 5 Chief Meteorologist Paul Horton that will be given to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona (BBBSAZ).

Our team is pleased to join other local entities and individuals in support of Arizona teachers by sponsoring the Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program. Dollars raised through sponsorships and donations to Wishes for Teachers will be divided between 200 randomly drawn Arizona educators.

Each teacher chosen will win a $5,000 grant to be used to enhance their classroom experience. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 29 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. via a live stream on fiestabowl.org. 

Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers

Since its inception, Wishes for Teachers has granted over $2.2-million has been granted to Arizona teachers, which in turn has positively impacted over 100,000 children across the state.

Eight members of ours presented to 8 different teachers throughout the valley $5,000 each to go toward their classrooms. Teacher wishes varied from new desks in the classrooms to purchasing nonperishable food to giveaway to the families in her classroom.

For the third year in a row our team will be actively involved in supporting the Fiesta Bowl Charities by participating in the Wells Fargo Par-3 Golf Challenge.  

This charity event is being promoted as a “hole-in-one contest unlike any other” that will take place Thursday, October 24 to Friday, October 25 at The Short Course at Mountain Shadows (5445 E Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ 85253). Tickets for this event are sold out.

Giving Back to Protect Young Athletes in Las Vegas

We are pleased to once again sponsor one of Las Vegas Sportz Foundation’s Game Saver Program. This program provides local student-athletes ages 10 to 18 with the opportunity to get a FREE pre-participation physical evaluation and heart screening for upcoming school sports activities.

Our Chicagoland Outreach Team had the privilege of participating in the Fall Fest at Vida Abundante Church in Cicero, Illinois. This festival brought together church members and community members for a day filled with food, music, games, and a good time all around. Lerner & Rowe Gives Back was honored to sponsor the “Kid’s Corner” at the fest through a $2,000 donation.

Part of our outreach team, Ari and Daisy, were in attendance to tell fest-goers about our upcoming Turkey Giveaway which will be held at Vida Abundante on November 16th. If you’re in the Cicero area, stop by! We’ll be giving away 1,000 turkeys.

This past Saturday staff from our Merrillville, Indiana office had the opportunity to give back by volunteering for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. Volunteering for their Mobile Market, our staff was able to help distribute food and take food out to cars.

It was an honor to be able to help serve food to nearly 500 individuals in need. Thank you to the Food Bank for this opportunity. And an even greater thanks to our staff for volunteering their time on a Saturday morning!

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Team attended the Women’s Resource Medical Center’s Race For Life 5K event on a beautiful Saturday morning. Over 500 people came out to support this very special charity.

“At Lerner and Rowe, we love to support viable charities like the Women’s Resource Medical Center’s Center. They not only provide a vital service to families, but the 5K event also provides the opportunity for our employees to attend and give back to the community at large,” stated Glen Lerner.
