‘Hip to Chip’ Free Microchip Program Benefits MCACC Adopted Dogs

The ‘Hip to Chip” program was created from a partnership between the #LovePup Foundation and our team at Lerner and Rowe Gives Back. Through this program, every dog adopted from a Mesa or Phoenix Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) location will be sent home with a free microchip!

‘Hip to Chip’ May 1st Program Launch

Today was the launch date for the free Phoenix and Mesa ‘Hit to Chip’ microchip program. We were excited to join our community partners and witness the first adopted dog to benefit from the program.

“We are excited to partner with #LovePup to fund this progressive initiative. We know that the love and happiness a four-legged family member brings is one of a kind,” says attorney Kevin Rowe. “We are a family of avid dog-lovers, ourselves. Every dog deserves to find a good home filled with love. Microchips make sure that they’re never separated from that home.”

The Benefits of Microchips

Microchips offer many benefits to both animals and pet owners, such as:

• Making it quicker for owners to be reunited with a lost pet.
• Easier to identify a lost dog.
• Less worry for pet owner – no collar or tag to loose.
• Reduction in the number of lost / homeless dogs on the streets.
• And lastly, microchips help reduce the number of unidentified strays at animal shelters.

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back sponsors the 4th Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament.

Lerner and Rowe proudly announces their sponsorship of the 4th Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament in conjunction with the Ronald McDonald House. The tournament has grown to two courses at the Grayhawk Golf Club on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. The event starts with registration at 7:00 a.m. with a lunch, raffle drawing and awards ceremony to follow.

4th Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament

The 4th Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament gives participants the opportunity to interact and play with champions, tour and local pros. Unlike a normal competition, usually decided by the low net score or via match play, pro-am golf tournaments generally are best ball, low net score or a scramble format. Lerner and Rowe invites you to join them at the Grayhawk Golf Club. Tournament proceeds help with the costs for families staying at the Valley’s three houses, two located in central Phoenix and one in Mesa.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix helps children and their families by providing a ‘home away from home’ for those travelling to the city to receive treatment for illnesses, both serious and life-threatening. Families often stay for extended periods, from days up to months at a time. This non-profit organization never turns away a family. Give Back, Golf & Be Merry at the Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Charity Golf Classic

It’s the 5th year of Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Charity Golf Classic. Our signature fundraiser raised just over $200k in 2016. 2017 saw over $250k raised and for 2018, our non-profit foundation wants to raise at least $300k.

For those not familiar with our annual Charity Golf Classic, 100% of raised proceeds is given back to directly support local charitable groups and organizations throughout the greater state of Arizona.

One of the Most Fun Days on a Golf Course

Golfers, sponsors and volunteers of the Lerner and Rowe Charity Golf Classic will have one of the most fun days of the year giving back! First, the beautiful views of the Talking Stick Golf Club (9998 East Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, Arizona) set an extraordinary back drop. Then all of the activities, food and entertainment cement the success of what is among the biggest fundraising event for the foundation.

Schedule of events:

• Registration :: 10:30 AM to noon
• Pre-tournament party with DJ
• Shotgun start :: 1:00 PM
• Awards dinner to follow tournament with food trucks

ALT AZ Band Splash Benefit Concert for Dear Jack Foundation

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is pleased to partner with ALT AZ 93-3 to help raise funds to benefit Andrew McMahon’s Dear Jack Foundation. We not only agreed to dollar match up to $5,000 in ticket sales from ALT AZ’s Band Splash at Big Surf AZ (1500 N McClintock Dr/Hayden Rd, Tempe, Arizona 85281)  on April 29th, but we also donated Frisbees and chap stick to be handed out at the concert!

Additionally, you can purchase a limited edition ALT AZ & Corona Band Splash t-shirt for just $10 at the show and we’ll match 100% of money raised from sales to also benefit the Dear Jack Foundation

In case you didn’t know…

The Dear Jack Foundation was founded by Andrew McMahon after he underwent two rounds of chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and a successful stem cell transplant prior to going into remission. With the creation of the Dear Jack Foundation, Andrew wants to initiate change and provide a voice for the generations of young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Lerner and Rowe is pleased to give back by sponsoring the 10th Annual Canine Walk for Cops. The family-fun event takes place on April 21st at the University of Arizona Mall.  Four-legged furry family members are also invited to join in the fun.

Proceeds from the event benefit the needs of Tucson area law enforcement officers, including K9 Officers and the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundation.

Funds raised will be directly used towards providing critical life-saving equipment, technology and training for Tucson area Officers, which also covers the four-legged Officer.

Canine Walk for Cops Details & Highlights

Registration for the walk begins at 7 am; the walk begins at 8 am.

Other walk highlights include:

• An incredible demonstration by the TPD, MPD and UAPD K9 Units.
• Opportunities to meet and mingle with Tucson Area Handlers and K9 Officers.
• A chance to take part in demonstrations with K9 Officers.

Phoenix, AZ – Lerner and Rowe Gives Back is excited to announce our third sponsorship of the annual “i have a Voice” International Gala presented by Gigi’s Playhouse. This event will take place on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Lusso Fine Motors in Scottsdale, Arizona. The gala is Gigi’s Playhouse’s most important fundraiser of the year, as it plays an important role in spreading the message of the organization all over the globe.

This year’s event will be hosted by Mario Lopez and feature an appearance by the National Founder of Gigi’s Playhouse, Nancy Gianni. DJ P-Body will provide the musical entertainment for the event while some of the adults and children of the Playhouse will have the chance to inspire the audience with tales of their hardships and triumphs. Gala attendees can also look forward to a live auction, sit-down dinner, raffle contest, and other activities. The “i have a Voice” International Gala will serve as an opportunity to applaud these incredible individuals and continue to change the way people perceive those with Down syndrome.

Down syndrome is the most common chromosomal disability in the country, yet it severely lacks funding and helpful programs that aim to improve the future of those under the diagnosis. That’s where Nancy Gianni saw an opportunity. With over 35 locations across the US and Mexico, Gigi’s Playhouse has established the world’s only network of distinct Down Syndrome Achievement Centers. Gigi’s gives children and adults diagnosed with Down syndrome a support system and selection of programs aimed at increasing their educational and career success. These programs help participants build the confidence and skills they need in order to become leaders in their communities. The programs offered by Gigi’s Playhouse are available to all age groups and are always free of charge. Their mission is to spread the message of Global Acceptance for everyone and “to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.”
