6th Annual Honor Walk

Veterans of all generations are personally recognized by friends, families and loved ones at the 6th Annual Honor Walk presented by AZ Veterans Project in Downtown Phoenix on November 13th at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Since 2012, it has been a pleasure for us to partner with the Honor Walk Foundation and to support them in their efforts to provide programs, services and mentoring opportunities that are beneficial to our veterans.

6th Annual Honor Walk and 5K Fun Run Highlights

honor walk 2016Registration for the Honor Walk is just $30/person. Veterans and children 8 and under register free with any paid registration.

Walk times:

  • Pre-walk registration at 6:30 AM
  • Pre-walk activities and entertainement kick-off at 7:30 AM
  • Walk/5K Fun Run starts at 9:00 AM

Walk Organized to Recognize and Honor Veterans

Veterans founded the Honor Walk in 2010 to support more than 670,000 Arizonans who have served and sacrificed in the U.S. military.

This year’s presenter, AZ Veterans Project, helps veterans go “Green to Blue” by providing professional networking, mentoring and career services.

These pre-participation physical exam (PPE) sports screenings are more advanced than standard physicals; they find heart and general medical or physical problems prior to participation that could be considered a serious health risk to young athletes. These exams also provide an opportunity for young athletes to learn more about the physical demands a sport has on their bodies and ways to maintain their overall health and safety.

We donated $1,500 to Right Toyota’s walk team that is raising funds and participating in the 2016 Phoenix American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.

American Cancer Society is the leader in the fight against breast cancer. Donations like ours will be used to fund groundbreaking breast cancer research as well as help provide free information and services to those diagnosed with the disease, such as:

  • 24/7 counseling;
  • Emotional and physical support during treatments;
  • Transportation assistance for those who need a ride to treatment;
  • Accommodation for patients seeking treatment far from home.

Bullhead City Community Helped Us Beat Goal for Local Water Drive

2016 Code Red Summer Heat ReliefThis was the first year that our northern Arizona legal team held a local Code: Red Summer Heat Relief water drive. We wanted to thank all of the Bullhead City area community members that helped us beat our goal of collecting 500 cases of water!

Together we collected 518 cases. Volunteers from the River Resource Center then delivered the water to local homeless and disadvantaged families during the hot summer months.

An eclectic mix of music will be featured this Saturday night (Oct. 1st) in Phoenix at the “Come Together” benefit concert. Proceeds will benefit the Phoenix Rescue Mission and I Have a Name Project.
