Giving Back to Aid Abused and Neglected Foster Children in Nevada

casa-luau-lynne-johnston-437x478

CASA is a national organization that recruits and trains volunteers to aid in finding safe, permanent, loving homes for abused and neglected foster children. CASA volunteers also learn how to effectively stand up and be the voice of these children in court.

As a previous guardian ad litem volunteer for a similar organization in South Carolina, our team member Lynne Johnston knows how much support this organizations needs to succeed.  When she found out about the Pioneer Territory arm of the organization located in Pahrump, she jumped at the opportunity to give back and get involved.

Thanks to dedicated and caring team members like Lynne, the law offices of Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys are making a difference in and out of the court room.

John C. Kish Boys and Girls Club Cheer Team Sponsors

Cynthia Garcia, a team member Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys Las Vegas was at John C. Kish Boys and Girls Club in Henderson, Nevada when she noticed something about the club’s cheer team. All of the cheer leaders wore black clothing. After further investigation she found out the reason; the cheer team did not have the funds to purchase uniforms for each member of their squad.

Seeing this need, Cynthia took it upon herself to reach out to family, friends and Lerner and Rowe to ask for help in sponsoring the girls. Thanks to combined contributions, the Kish Boys and Girls Club cheer team has new uniforms to wear to sporting events.

BGCSNV does this by developing programs that cultivate leadership, confidence and positive relationships with adult mentors, peers and other family members.

Founding BSA Venturing Big Event Sponsors

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back sponsored the Boy Scouts of America, Camelback District Grand Canyon Council’s Founding Venturing “Big Event” held at BSA camp Heard Scout Pueblo in April. Our $2,500 sponsorship was put to good use helping the local BSA chapter provide positive experiences for local young people emphasizing adventure, leadership, personal growth and public service.

During each “Big Event,” current Venture crews join new recruits and potential crews to learn and participate in a full weekend of activities that include:

  • SCUBA instruction
  • Pistol Shooting
