With the help of many gracious volunteers, our team gave away 1,200 Thanksgiving meal packages at Balloon Fiesta Park on November 16, 2022.
We were delighted to be a small part of the celebrations of hundreds of Albuquerque families. Our hope was that these meal packages added to the festive spirit of the season with a traditional holiday meal shared with loved ones.

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back foundation is partnering with the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Nevada SPCA) to help keep pets safe and off the streets of Las Vegas by hosting a free microchip and ID tag clinic. The event will take place on November 19 from 8:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. at its local shelter.
The free microchip and ID tag clinic’s entrance can be found at the shelter’s pet admissions door shelter (5375 S. Procyon Street, Suite 108, Las Vegas, NV 89118). Additionally, dogs are required to be on a leash and cats must be in pet carriers.
This first-time event was created after it received hundreds of calls about stray dogs last month when the municipal shelter limited its intake due to a pneumovirus. The strays were running the streets with no collars, no tags, and were not microchipped– making it hard to reconnect owners with their pets.
Pet owners can register now at nevadaspca.org/pet-microchipping. Appointment slots are limited to three pets per household.

Part of our mission is to advocate for and improve the lives of those who need assistance–that includes the lives of our four-legged friends. We get to do just that once again as a $2,500 sponsor of the Phoenix Animal Care Coalition’s (PACC911) Glimmer of Hope event presented by Lulu’s Fund.
PACC911 is dedicated to helping the most at-risk animals have a “Glimmer of Hope” by providing life saving procedures through its critical care medical program. Funds raised through sponsorships like ours will be used to help ensure the organization can continue to do so.

Our Lerner and Rowe Gives Back team is pleased to once again sponsor Project Hero’s Las Vegas Honor Ride. For 2022, over 400 cyclists consisting of Healing Heroes and civilians rode side-by-side out of sign of unity, camaraderie, and support.
All of Project Hero’s events help raise funds that are used to provide no-cost mental health and rehabilitation services to Veterans and First Responders affected by post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other life-changing injuries.
Ultimately, Project Hero is on a mission to increase awareness about the national mental health emergency and to offer a safe harbor for our heroes to regain hope and resilience as they recover from a triggering event that resulted in a TBI and/or PTSD.

We are heartened to learn about the progress being made to support our Healing Heroes. As a presenting sponsor of Humane Indiana Wildlife (HIW) Center’s 2022 Festival of Owls, our Indiana team had a blast volunteering this past Friday at its wildlife center. The afternoon kicked off with a lunch and learn where our team learned all about what the organization does to rehabilitate native Indiana wildlife.
Then, the rest of the afternoon was spent preparing animal enclosures for the winter season by laying tarp and cleaning leaves and weeds. Our team even had the unique opportunity to meet and see a few of HIW’s animal ambassadors like a snowy owl and skunk!
The Humane Indiana Wildlife Center takes in sick, orphaned, and injured native Indiana wildlife to be rehabilitated and released back into nature.

Our team is pleased to once again join other local entities and individuals in support of Arizona teachers by partnering with the Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program. For the 2022 -2023 school year, we are granting 12 wishes at $2,500 each ($30,000 total) to local teachers on November 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In addition to our contribution, 388 other winners will also get a $2,500 grant of their own.
Since 2016, Fiesta Bowl Charities has invited Arizona K-12 public and charter school teachers to fill out an online application detailing their school and classroom wishes. Each chosen winner then receives a $2,500 classroom grant to help make those wishes come true.
Palo Verde Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers recipients will be selected at random and notified via phone call or video call between November 1, 2022 and November 3, 2022.
